In this flashback clip from April of 2018, John Witherspoon spoke about the films he had the most fun working on during his decorated career, naming "Vampire in Brooklyn" as one that stands out in consideration to how much he loved the script. From there, Witherspoon recalls what it was like to work on "Friday," saying that everyone got paid $5,000 for the movie and that the dialogue was mostly improvised. Witherspoon is then asked why Chris Tucker never reprised his classic role of Smokey in any of the sequels, an absence that he believes could be attributed to the $20 million he was making with Jackie Chan in each Rush Hour sequel.
