This was around 2000 and was my first “FLAME FLEST” that was held in my hometown of NORRISTOWN, PA. The “Flame Fest” was an annual free cookout I held in which I would invite some of the rappers from the VHS tapes to perform and meet some of their fans. Rappers like Jakk Frost, Peedi Crakk, and Kre Forch were rockstars in the hood and seeing them spit verses in person was a special treat for all those who only saw them on the tapes. I say “tapes” because this was way before the DVD era. At this first cookout a few of the MC’s that showed up to rock the mic included JAKK FROST, KRE FORCH, KONFIDENTIAL, JOHNNY ARSON, DIRTY KLEEN, C4, BIG ISH, VERN & VINNY, and more!
